Who We Are

Risen Kids is a Gospel-centered environment that serves nursery, preschool, and elementary aged children.  Our mission is to make disciples and lead our kids to grow in their knowledge, understanding, and love of Christ. With that in mind, we keep the gospel at the center of everything we teach.

Because we believe that parents are the primary disciple makers in a child’s life, our desire is to partner with you in the discipleship process to create a gospel-centered community for our children. From take home activities to various resources throughout the year, we aim to equip and support parents in the process.

What To Expect

Check-In begins at 9:50 AM

Every Sunday, all children (toddlers through grade 6) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

We also provide a Nursery for our youngest children.  Our nursery is designed to show the love of Jesus through providing compassionate care for our youngest attendees.

Health & Wellness

Our classrooms are thoroughly cleaned before and after service to prevent the passing of germs. We also require that a child be free of symptoms for 24 hours before entering Risen Kids. We have updated our wellness policies to ask that parents please continue to screen their children/household for signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and also ask that you stay home if you have been in close contact with a person confirmed to have COVID-19. Please keep your child home if he/she experiences:

  • Fever

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Sore throat

  • Chills

  • Fatigue

  • Cloudy or green runny nose

  • Cough

  • Body or head aches

  • Unexplained rash

  • Any communicable disease or infection such as cold, flu, croup, lice, pink eye, strep throat, hand foot mouth, chicken pox, etc.

FAQS

  • Nursery care is available when the child is 6 weeks old.

  • For those in the nursery, please bring a change of clothes, bottles or food (as appropriate for your child), any comfort item that may help soothe them, and diapers if needed.

For those in toddlers, please bring diapers if needed and a drink with a lid.

  • All children participating in Risen Kids should be checked in prior to the beginning of the worship service. Volunteers will welcome you and help you check in and then direct you to the appropriate classrooms.

  • We serve gluten free snacks to all of our children in the Nursery and Preschool classes.  If your child has any food allergies, grab an “Allergy Alert” sticker at the check in station and notify the volunteers in the room of the specifics of your child’s allergy.  Feel free to bring a separate snack for your child to eat during snack time if they are allergic to the snacks we provide.

  • At Risen Kids, your child’s security is of utmost importance to us. From sign-in security to volunteer background checks, we strive to provide an environment for children to learn about Jesus that is both fun and safe!

When you check in your child, two tags will be given to you. Children must wear one security tag and you will keep the second tag.  At the end of the service, to ensure the safety of each child, we will collect your label and make sure it matches your child before releasing him/her to you.

  • At Risen, our hope is that ALL children feel welcomed and loved as they walk through our doors. We trust God’s word in Psalm 139:14 that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made. Because of this we desire to provide a caring, inclusive environment for kids with disabilities and additional needs. Like any child that attends, we want to create a safe space for them to experience the love of God and the truth of the gospel. If you have a child with special needs, or would like more information, please reach out to our kids director.
