Providence Kids

Providence Kids is a Gospel-centered environment that serves nursery, preschool, and elementary age children.  It is built on the three core values of Providence North- Worship Christ, Live in Community, and Make Disciples.

We use the Gospel Project for Kids to immerse preschoolers and kids in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel.  Through The Gospel Project for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story- God’s story of redemption.

Because we believe that parents are the primary disciple-makers in a child’s life, our desire is to partner with you in the discipleship process to create a gospel-centered community for our children.  Check out the Gospel Project for Kids Family App for ways to connect with the Bible story each week.

What to expect

Friendly, easy and safe children check-in

Friendly, easy and safe children check-in

A volunteer will greet you as you walk in the doors to help you register your child. Upon completing check in, we will guide you to your child’s classroom.

Each Sunday, toddlers through 6th graders will learn the Bible story and how it relates to Jesus in an age appropriate way.  The lessons include key passage memorization, Bible story, worship, games, and crafts all used to teach the main point of the lesson.

We also provide a Nursery for babies 6 weeks old-23 months.  Our nursery is designed to show the love of Jesus through providing compassionate care for our youngest attendees.

Safety & Security

At Providence Kids, your child’s security is of utmost importance to us. From sign-in security to volunteer background checks , we strive to provide an environment for children to learn about Jesus that is both fun and safe!

When you check in your child, two tags will be given to you. Children must wear one security tag and you will keep the second tag.  At the end of the service, to ensure the safety of each child, we will collect your label and make sure it matches your child before releasing him/her to you.

Health & Wellness

We require that a child be free of symptoms for 24 hours before entering Providence Kids.  Please keep your child home if he/she experiences:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Cloudy or green runny nose
  • Cough
  • Body or head aches
  • Unexplained rash
  • Any communicable disease or infection such as cold, flu, croup, lice, pink eye, strep throat, hand foot mouth, chicken pox, etc.

Our classrooms are thoroughly cleaned before and after service to prevent the passing of germs.

FAQs:

What is the minimum age requirement for Providence Kids?

Nursery care is available when the child is 6 weeks old.

When do I take my child to Providence Kids?

All children participating in Providence Kids should be checked in prior to the beginning of the worship service.

What should I bring for my child?

For those in the nursery please bring a change of clothes, bottles or food (as appropriate for your child), any comfort item that may help soothe them, and diapers if needed.

For those in toddlers please bring diapers if needed and a drink with a lid.

What is your snack policy?

We know kids love snacks, so we offer them to children in every classroom.  We serve gluten free snacks to all of our children in the toddler - 6th grade classes.  The Nursery offers puffs and any snacks sent from home.  If your child has any food allergies, grab an “Allergy Alert” sticker at the check in station and notify the volunteers in the room of the specifics of your child’s allergy.  Feel free to bring a separate snack for your child to eat during snack time if they are allergic to the snacks we provide.
